The quasi-impromptu March 1998 reunion of MIT's Theta Delts of the '50's in Hilton Head, championed by Jack Cronin and hosted by Joe and Jane Carty, proved so rewarding that the reuners enthusiastically decided to do it again. San Francisco was the choice for locale, two years hence for timing. Tom and Bev Marlow graciously volunteered to be hosts.

In October 2000, this second reunion came to pass! .....and fully met all our hopes. It was not just great good fun, but, on a deeper level, our being together again struck yet another memorable and lasting chord in our lives. This site presents photographs of some of the events of that San Francisco reunion.

(Saturday daytime was free for shopping and sightseeing; in the evening we came together at the theater to see Beach Blanket Babylon, a very funny Comedy-Club type farce which cheerfully leaves no sensitivity untrammeled, no political, religious or ethnic group unoffended.   Alas, no photos are on hand of this event.)

FISHERMAN'S WHARF The next morning, we assembled at Fisherman's Wharf, there to get a ferry to Marin County and the Sonoma Valley, where we visited the Viansa Winery and the Rémy Martin Distillery.

Now..... here's the story of our reunion. It started formally Thursday night with a RECEPTION given by the MARLOW'S at Tom and Bev's lovely town house, perched high among San Francisco's hills, overlooking the city.

Classes of '53-'54	We ended our tasting idyll in the town of Sonoma, joining for dinner at the charming Swiss Hotel.	Class of '55	But first, we coalesced into classes, and posed prettily.	Classes of '56-59

SUNDAY BRUNCH


Sunday Morning - Some took a stroll about town.	Then all gathered for a most pleasant farewell brunch at Sinbad's on Pier 2 on the Embarcadero.		A few lingered before finally departing.	Sunday afternoon - Exploring the charms of Sausalito.

But prior to leaving the Bay Area, the reuners again enthusiastically decided to schedule another get-together of MIT's Theta Delts of the '50's. Here's to Phoenix in 2002!
