EWTH's Shares in the Burma
Development Syndicate, of which he was a Director
EWTH was the third largest shareholder in
the Burma Development Syndicate. Second
was his father-in-law, Thomas Bound (Bound's son, Thomas Alexander also
owned shares). The documents shown below list the shareholders as
they record the dissolution of the original Syndicate and its
reformation (no indication
of why this was done).
The document was created at the end of 1912, after EWTH's second wife,
Florence, had departed for New Zealand to spare their sickly son the
British
winter, but before she returned and deserted him.
