ShootingSight Rectangular Aperture Testamonials

Here is what people are saying about ShootingSight Rectangular Apertures. ================================================================ As an Operations Research Analyst I was first intrigued by Art Neergaard's thorough investigation and report on his rectangular rear aperture concept. After conducting my own experiment using a SCATT training device, and finding it delivered on its promises, I decided to try it on my service rifle in an NRA competition. In the very first match that I shot with the rectangular aperture I won both the Kentucky State Service Rifle Championship and the Kentucky State Long Range Service Rifle Championship. Thanks Art, for your invaluable research, and improvements you're making for our sport which will benefit all shooters." ================================================================= I've now fired four matches with your new sights. My score improved and I cleaned a couple targets on rapid fire at 200&300. That is something I had not done for the last 5 or 6 years. My groups are now tight; before I was shooting shotgun groups at 600 yards. I am starting to shoot over 190 again. That is a major improvement. Before your sights, my average was in 170's . The aperture cleared up my front sight post. The top of the post is now nice and flat, no more round top or concave, depending of the light condition, and also the target is nice, clear and round black, not a dark fuzzy black ball. I also dropped the power of my diopter correction. I was using +0.50, now I am using +0.25 again. I am definitely shooting better scores than I was. I know by next season I will start to shoot the HM scores I used to shoot. My last match was a very windy day. I had a terrible off hand; two misses! But at the end of the match my total score was 949-26x. The last time I fired a score above 900 was 5/6 years ago. All the guys who know me started to ask the question " Hey Franco, what happened to you? You're shooting well. What did you do?" That's when I started to talk about your sight. Art, thanks to you, you put me back in the shooting competition. I believe this sight will be the salvation for many old timers. Just to let you know I am a 61 year old High Master, but when I passed the 50 year old mark, my sights started to deteriorate Thanks again, CMC (SCW/DM) Franco S. USN, Retired Double Distinguished ================================================================== I installed the #48 on both of our rifles and went to the range. The weather was not good, very dark, cloudy all day, and finally cut short by heavy rain. Not good seeing conditions for me with my usual .046 round aperture. Your #48 aperture is a winner. Plenty of light. Target was black and sharp, front sight post also black and sharp. Even in the rain all was clear and sharp at 200 yards. The sight picture was just like the idealized illustrations in the training manuals! It has been many years since I was able to see the post and target together, both in focus. I used to be constantly shifting focus from bull to post. Now, no problem. After zeroing, we fired a number a number of rapid fire sitting strings and we were amazed at the smaller groups we got. Even in the heavy rain we had an improvement. I am so glad to finally get a device that actually lives up to its claims that I had to let you know. Sincerely, Robert B. Tinton Falls, NJ ============================================================== I bought your product several weeks ago and I did not have
the chance to use it until yesterday. WOW! is all I can say. I shot 10
rounds in the prone position at 200 yards using the NRA SR target. 6 out
of
10 shots were in the X-RING!! I've never done that before. And an update from this year ... Yesterday I was able to shoot my first match
this year. I broke the master level!! I shot 470 out of 500. The funny
thing is that due to the cost of bullets and rising gas prices, I did
not train during the off season as intensely as I had in the past.
Just wanted to say thanks again for a great product. I am very pleased
with how I shot.
Sincerely, |
