Dear Phil and Barbara,
Lindsay Russell, Jack Cronin and I have been exchanging correspondence
in support of Lindsay’s building of his delightful web-site which shows
photos of our Hilton Head Event. In the midst of our dialogue,
your letter arrived, with the following comment:
“......We
are especially anxious to have opportunities to learn about the
journeys that have brought us to this place in our lives. Perry
looked around the Carty’s living room that first magical evening and
commented ‘Just think of all the stories in this room’”.
So was born the next phase of
Lindsay’s web-site: to keep the momentum of the reunion going by
appending to the web page of portraits Lindsay that Lindsay has already
created, individuals’ thumb-nail biographies. As I wrote to
Lindsay after sharing with him that quote from your letter: “In
the reunion’s hurly-burly of greetings and sharing anecdotes, the music
was great but there was precious little time to get the words - Perry’s
‘stories’. But we still have the chance. I personally
would love to read the story of each brother in our group, whether he
attended the reunion or not.”
The responses from Lindsay and Jack were positive, and the machinery is
now being fired up to get brethren to create bio’s to append to the HHd
web-site.
I just thought you’d like to know what you’ve inspired.
Cordially,
