 He acquired (and named) it in 1899, sold it in 1915, but retained its cottages until 1920.

42 was the number of "Kit-Tha-Reng"  the residence hotel of which EWTH was shown as "keeper" on his 1922 marriage certificate.  It's probable however that houses have been renumbered since;  there's a larger, more likely, more important Victorian house next door.
