Scraps of paper are made to flap slowly up and down, seem to fly like a flock of birds



The chair pivots on the end of a freely articulated balance beam;  the carpeted platform under it is shuttled back and forth by a driven crank.

Whenever the beam dips to a low enough level that the cat collides with the chair, the chair leaps into the air, spinning, thus jumping over the cat.
